With the aim of presenting a picture of how climate change affects and may affect the national situation of the country, the CCIC held its second public briefing entitled, "Climate Change and National Development" in coordination with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The public briefing featured noted Philippine economist, Dr. Cielito F. Habito, Director of the Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development and former Director General of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), as the main speaker. Representatives from the sectors of government, civil society and the academe provided their responses to Dr. Habito’s presentation.
