The special training workshop is for companies who still wish to be part of the Business Pilot Group and missed the earlier training. In particular, the workshop aims to:

• Introduce the Business Pilot Group to GHG Inventories, Registries and PhilGARP
• Build capacity for the BPG to prepare their own GHG Inventories and Inventory Management Plans; and to track, calculate and report GHG Emissions
• Familiarize the BPG with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and Calculation tools
• Address BPG concerns/share Company Best Practices in GHG Accounting and Reporting

As the PhilGARP program design and specifications are being finalized, it would be a good opportunity for the trainors to learn from the experiences of companies that have implemented a GHG accounting and reporting system. A learning session aims to serve as a venue for exchange of knowledge and information to enable program participants to make informed decisions regarding the program design and implementation. 

Launching of "The Philippine Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting Program (PhilGARP)"

 PhilGARP is designed to train businesses and organizations operating in the Philippines on greenhouse gas (GHG) management based on the GHG Protocol standards and tools and to assist them in the creation of corporate GHG inventories. PhilGARP will likewise provide a platform for public reporting and information dissemination on GHG management issues. Through the launching of this program, it is envisioned that a pilot group of participants will be created and additional interest in and support for the program will be generated among a broader range of stakeholders.

Trainor’s Training Workshop

The aim of the workshop is to training program staff and members of the Trainors Pool on the GHG Protocol, “an internationally accepted set of GHG accounting and reporting standards and tools” by providing them with knowledge and resources to enable them to make informed decisions regarding the program design and implementation.
